Crosspoint is excited about the launch of our BRAND NEW CAMPUS in Somerville, Alabama.  We have identical services and ministries for your entire family in both Decatur and Somerville. Check out the FAQ below for some questions people ask about multi-site church and Crosspoint.

FAQ

Q: One church in two locations.  What's that about?
A: We don't think a church should grow by building larger buildings.  We think a church can grow more effectively and efficiently by having more locations (like Jack's or McDonald's Hamburgers, for instance.)  Having one church, with a single vision, in more locations means more people can find Christ and engage in His mission!

Q: Why did you start a new campus in Somerville?
A: We looked all over Morgan County & Lawrence County for a site.  God showed us this was the right location and confirmed it with our pastoral leadership team.  Then He showed us we already had a church in the area when we realized over 50 people drove to our Decatur campus from Somerville every weekend.  It makes sense to start a new church where we have influence and a solid group of people sold out to the vision of Crosspoint.

Q: I've heard this is a video venue?  What is that exactly?
A: The vast majority of the largest growing churches in the U.S. now use video as the primary method for the pastor to speak to the church in multiple locations.  This way everyone gets the same teaching from the same communicator.  In Somerville, on most weekends, our pastor or other speaker will preach via video.  Everything else is from a live person.  Sometimes there will be a live speaker in Somerville, and the video will be in Decatur.  You just never know what Pastor Dave will do!

Q: Isn't video teaching like watching TV?
A: If you have a 12' wide TV - maybe.  But no.  In fact in the largest churches in America, more people enjoy the sermon on video than they do with a live speaker.  You can see better and most people don't even notice within a few minutes.

Q: Will everything be on video?
A: No.  The band will be live, there will be a designated weekend host from the Crosspoint staff on stage, and, of course, all of our volunteers and the kids' ministry will be live, just like you expect.

Q: What should I wear to a Crosspoint service?
A: Whatever makes you comfortable.  We really don't care what people look like on the outside; we are here to help on the inside!

Q: What do you have in Somerville for my children?
A: We have the same exact ministry in both locations.  We call our children's ministry FUSION.  You can learn more about Fusion here!

Q: What do you have in Somerville for my teens?
A: Our student ministry is called Crosswired.  We have programs in both locations and you can find out more here!

Q: I heard the music at Crosspoint is loud.
A: You heard right.  We believe what the Bible says about worship in Psalm 150, but we aren't loud just to be loud.  We just like the volume close to concert level so you can't hear the person next to you singing off key.  (We are kidding, sort of.  We have earplugs for those who find the volume a little high though.)

Q: What time do you start?
A: Services start at 11:00 a.m., but you will want to get there early enough to check your children into Fusion and grab a beverage from The Coffee Bar!

Our Somerville Campus is located at 5224 Hwy. 67 S., Somerville, AL.
