Technical Production
Audio Mixing Operator (auditorium): Sets sound levels for instruments, vocalists, speakers, and video feeds for audio in the auditorium. Requires the ability to hear music tonalities and frequencies. Also requires a basic knowledge of music and sound recording, and ability to react and adapt to very fluid stage dynamics. Experience with audio mixing is a plus.
Audio Mixing Operator (backstage): Sets sound levels for instruments, vocalists, speakers, and video feeds for audio that is recorded and broadcast on the internet. Requires a basic knowledge of music and sound recording, and ability to react and adapt to very fluid stage dynamics. Experience with audio mixing is a plus.
Video Mixing Operator: Mixes the live video broadcast. Must have understanding of video/broadcast technologies.
Video/Sound Editor (post production): Utilizes basic video and sound editing software to take the recordings from the worship service and format them for web, CD, or DVD. Produces Audio/Video DVD's and uploads to the Internet.
Lighting Operator: Programs and operates light mixing board for worship services. Requires intermediate understanding of lighting and ability to sequence and program dozens of lights to create a stage atmosphere consistent with video graphics and stage performance.
Manned Camera Operator: Operates video camera during worship services, taking direction from video producer. Basic understanding of camera operations needed (pan, zoom. etc.)
Remote Camera Operator: Operates PTZ video camera during worship services, taking direction from video producer. Basic understanding of camera operations needed (pan, zoom, etc.)
Computer Operator (auditorium): Operates the software that displays graphical content during the worship services, including worship lyrics and sermon notes. Must be able to focus and be aware of queues from stage and production manager. Basic computer skills required.
Computer Operator (backstage): Operates computer during recording and/or broadcasting of the worship services. Basic computer skills required.
Stage Production Tech: Preps the stage for worship services by plugging in gear, performing sound level checks on equipment and microphones, and possibly tuning instruments. Sets and removes any stage props or podium during transition points. Ensures the speaker and worship team have immediate or unforeseen needs met (i.e. water, towels, back-up microphone, etc.).
